Terms and Conditions
Effective date: August 11, 2026. These terms describe how engagements with Joseph Career Advisory operate.
Services provided
Joseph Career Advisory provides résumé writing, career document development, LinkedIn profile optimization, and career consulting. The exact scope of each engagement is confirmed in writing before work begins.
Client responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and honest career information, to respond at review milestones, and to consolidate feedback within the agreed revision process.
Payment
Fees, payment schedule, and accepted methods are confirmed in writing before work begins. Payment is typically due in advance for single services and according to milestones for larger packages. Payment processing is not currently connected to this website.
Revisions
Each service includes two rounds of revision within the agreed review window. A revision is a single round of consolidated feedback, not a new direction. Additional rounds or changes in scope are quoted separately.
Cancellations and refunds
If work has not yet started, a full refund is issued. If work has begun, the refund reflects completed milestones and time invested. Consultations rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be treated as completed.
Timelines
Timelines are estimates that depend on your responsiveness at each milestone. Delays in providing information or feedback shift delivery accordingly.
Intellectual property
On full payment, you receive ownership of your final career documents. Methodology, templates, frameworks, and website content remain the intellectual property of Joseph Career Advisory.
Confidentiality
Client information is treated as confidential and used only for the agreed service, subject to the Privacy Policy and any legally required disclosures.
No guarantee of outcomes
Career services can improve clarity, positioning, preparedness, and confidence, but no résumé writer or career consultant can guarantee interviews, job offers, promotions, salary increases, or specific employment outcomes.
Applicant-tracking systems
Applicant-tracking behavior varies by employer, role, software, configuration, and application context. No universal compatibility score or ranking can be guaranteed.
Independence
Joseph Career Advisory is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any employer, LinkedIn, or applicant-tracking-software provider.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability arising from the services is limited to the fees paid for the engagement in question. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in the state where Joseph Career Advisory is headquartered.
